Wow! It has been such an amazing whirlwind of a wedding season … that we forgot to blog. But that means we have lots of great original content to share over the next few months, including Jen and Josh’s detail-filled pastel wedding at Catawba Island Club. We loved designing their big day and doing their wedding flowers!
Like a lot of our couples, Jen and Josh don’t live in Toledo which meant lots of back and forth over email and Pinterest to finalize details. The couple wanted a feminine, soft and very vintage wedding. Jen had lots of lovely ideas like a bed of lavender for her escort cards to rest in. We completed her idea with our antique gold mirrors. Her grandparents also share a wedding anniversary with the newlyweds. To honor them, Jen and Josh composed a sweet note that we displayed on our vintage typewriter. And just look at the gorgeous ombre bridesmaids’ gowns Jen picked!
Color played a big part in their special day. Blushes, raspberries, lavender, white and pops of yellow made for a very fun late spring/early summer palette. Other fun details included some blush sequin runners, a small ivory loveseat at the head table and a vintage suitcase display for cards. One of the best “details” of all was the venue. Catawba Island Club is right on Lake Erie – which was the perfect backdrop.
We truly loved designing for this couple and their families. You could tell throughout the planning process how in sync they are. We know they have a very bright future ahead. Best wishes and congrats!
And from Jen:
Every Bride should hire La Boutique Nostalgie. Our reception décor was absolutely beautiful! I can’t even tell you how many of our guests said it looked like something out of Pinterest. AND the best part was – myself or my bridal party didn’t do ANYTHING in setting everything up! Brigitta and her staff are so easy to work with. Brigitta has an amazing ability to turn your vision and ideas into reality. The flowers, décor, just everything was absolutely perfect. I am so glad I found Brigitta for my wedding day. Thank you for everything!
