Wow. 2017 is almost over. It was a year full of gorgeous weddings, sweet couples and flowers and then some more flowers. We were so honored and thrilled to serve as wedding florist and designer for each and every client. I don’t blog often but when I do, I love that it allows me to reflect on past weddings (and then I miss my former clients!).
We recapped our spring/summer here. But read on for our fall/winter recap…
Please note that not every wedding we serviced is featured in this blog — it’s not a reflection on our clients and their weddings at all. It’s just that we didn’t get photos! If you’re a client or photographer and you don’t see a wedding we worked on together featured, email us at email@example.com. We love to share!
We kicked off our fall season with a wedding at the Oliver House — right next to our studio! Rebecca and Zach’s wedding was full of unique touches like the large protea in the center of the arbor and leather-wrapped bouquets. Protea and edgier details like these two have will be big in 2018.
Stephanie and Robert’s wedding was next! This adorable couple was married in a rustic tented reception. (Also if you need to get your hair done…check out Wildflower Salon where Steph is a hairstylist. She’s incredibly talented. And also my hairstylist.)
We had the privilege of serving as wedding florists and designers at The Stables, a gorgeous barn-style venue in Whitehouse, a couple of times in the fall. Jenna and Zach were one of our couples married there. These two were stylish and so in love. Jenna wanted a rustic, but chic wedding with plenty of special details like vintage china, wooden farmtables and plenty of gorgeous garden roses.
This fall and winter, we also traveled to the Culinary Vegetable Institute in Milan, returned to the gorgeous riverside Toledo Country Club and spent time at the beautiful and classic Nazareth Hall among other wonderful venues. Beautiful Erica’s wedding took place at Naz Hall this fall. Look at that gorgeous dress!
In October, we traveled to the House of Blues Cleveland for a fun and unique wedding. Madison asked us to use the deep reds in the venue and also incorporate plums and blacks. It was definitely glam, even a little goth (in the best way) and definitely different for us — and we loved it. We genuinely love it when clients ask us to think outside the box.
Kelsey and Andrew were also married at The Stables. These two requested a classic vintage decor look with neutrals, greenery and pops of burgundy. This couple was incredibly sweet to work with. We used long eucalyptus garlands on their center tables for a fun but classic look.
We returned to the Secor Ballroom at Registry Bistro for Kallie and Alex’s wedding. Kallie is a graphic designer with a strong sense of style. Instead of bridesmaids’ bouquets, she asked us to put flowers in lanterns. We loved the unique idea. She and her aunt also created a unique macrame backdrop for the ceremony arbor.
We also created bouquets for Elizabeth’s classic day at Heatherdown’s Country Club in 2017. Love this beautiful shot of her and her new husband!
LBN also got to return to Hensville for Nicole and Mike’s sophisticated autumnal wedding. We used deep jewel tones to give them a regal, unique vibe. Our purple loveseat at their sweetheart table completed the look.
Besides weddings in late 2017, La Boutique Nostalgie launched a floral delivery and pick-up service that we are very excited about. Weddings and events will always be the main focus of our small business but we wanted to expand our floral offerings. So if you need an arrangement for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s or just because, visit us here and place an order for a customized, unique creation. We’d love to be your florist!
In other exciting news, Katrin and John’s summer wedding was featured in the brand new Toledo Wedding Guide magazine. This magazine is an awesome addition to our industry. You can pick it up via local wedding vendors or at a bridal show.
While we’re a little sad to say goodbye to 2017, we are so excited to serve as florists and designers for our 2018 couples. If you’d like to schedule a free consultation to chat about us being your wedding florist and designer, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are located in downtown Toledo but available to travel for Ann Arbor, Cleveland, Sandusky, Detroit and Columbus weddings (and beyond). 2018 promises to be another year full of gorgeous flowers, elegant decor and impeccable customer service.
Thank you to our amazing clients and fellow vendors for our best year yet!
