Last year, La Boutique Nostalgie partnered with Swatch Studios to put on the first Anchored: Toledo’s Bridal Show Alternative. After seeing independent, curated bridal events in other cities, we really wanted to bring some similiar to Toledo. We were thrilled with the turnout and response from last year and decided to bring Anchored back for another! Anchored is officially set for 5-9 p.m. March 11 at The Blarney Event Center in Downtown Toledo.
Like last year, we are just featuring one vendor per category to keep Anchored: Toledo’s Alternative Bridal Event more intimate and relaxed. We’re also bringing back interactive areas like our flower-crown station and hair and makeup booths by Wildflower Salon and Makeup by Amy Lewis. In fact, our guests said they loved the interactive stations so much, we decided to add more with a string art station by Cambridge + West and a painting station by Uncork the Artist. Not only can guests mingle with our vendors, but they can bring home souvenirs they made themselves.
Anchored also features a mock head table display. I love designing for Anchored because it allows me to think outside the box and go a little crazy. Last year’s Anchored was a moody, seaside inspired event. This year, we’re doing an industrial/boho mix with plenty of greenery and white florals. Can’t wait for you to see the result!
What we are looking forward to most is meeting amazing engaged Toledo couples and also mingling with our wonderful current clients. If you haven’t yet, you can buy tickets at www.anchoredtoledo.com for $8 (they’re $10 at the door). Engaged or not, you’ll enjoy free appetizers, a cash bar and live music by Toledo musician Zak Ward.
